Ulendo Magazine, Air Malawi's in-flight magazine, has featured a double-page story on Marie Da Silva and the Jacaranda school for orphans. Air Malawi is Malawi's national airline, it flies to Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.This article reflects the feeling of pride Malawians have expressed of seeing Marie, one of their own, on CNN and on the stage of the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, when she received her CNN Heroes trophee. Several articles on Marie have been published in the local press in Malawi, and TV Malawi, the country's only TV channel, produced two reports on the Jacaranda school. Malawians are thrilled to see Marie's work recognized on the world stage, and to show to the world that Malawians are able to tackle their own problems.
