The success of previous fundraising by The Project Purple Flower has profoundly changed lives, providing foundational support for the students at The Jacaranda School for Orphans in Blantyre, Malawi. Their dedicated efforts led to the establishment of a much-needed library at Chirimba Elementary School, opening up new worlds of learning for countless children. Furthermore, they secured a crucial four-year college scholarship, creating an unprecedented opportunity for one Jacaranda student to pursue a higher education. These initiatives were complemented by support for the expansion of a vital feeding center at the Jacaranda Physiotherapy Clinic, directly contributing to the health and well-being of the most vulnerable students. Your support at The Purple Flower Benefit will continue this legacy, ensuring that the light of education and care shines brighter than ever.

Here is an example of what your donations can fund:

  • $200 provides 20 textbooks for our secondary school students

  • $350 is the monthly salary of a school teacher

  • $500 provides exercise books to our 400 children for a term

  • $1,000 sends a Jacaranda School graduate to technical college for a year

  • $2,000 sends a Jacaranda School graduate to University in Malawi for a year

  • $5,000 funds a library for thousands of children in a public school in Malawi

The Jacaranda Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.

Meet the Founder and See the Impact

We are profoundly honored to welcome Marie Da Silva, the visionary founder of The Jacaranda School and a CNN Hero, who will be in attendance.

Your support continues the powerful legacy of The Project Purple Flower, which transforms lives through tangible, measurable impact in Malawi. We invite you to celebrate these recent accomplishments:

Creating Sustainable Futures: The launch of "Mimi's Goats," which gifted 20 goats to women entrepreneurs at Jacaranda Vocational School. This initiative provides single mothers with a sustainable source of income, nutrition, and stability for families affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS.

Empowering Education: We secured a four-year college scholarship for a deserving graduate and established Luc's Library, benefiting over 4,500 students at Chirimba Primary School.

Health and Wellness: Funds helped build a feeding center at the Jacaranda Physiotherapy Clinic, ensuring vulnerable students receive essential nourishment.

Essential Supplies: We delivered critical supplies like chalk, coloring books, crayons, and scissors, ensuring students have the tools they need to learn.

Every dollar raised at this event ensures vulnerable children in Blantyre, Malawi, receive free education, health care, and daily meals. Your presence helps us keep their future bright.
